Does anybody know how to make my mac use a proxy server. I know that proxy servers hide your ip address so that it is harder for people to track you and i wanted to make myself invisible (kind-of) when i am downloading off limewire and azureus. I have no idea what to do and am not an expert in mac os x. I have also heard that you need to enter an ip address to route yours through or something.

Reply:You have to request someone to configure proxy servers. Try searching for IP changer in google. Download the software. It will create a false IP address and no-one can track you. They'll try tracking the false address. You can escape.
ARE YOU DOING ANYTHING WRONG???
Its not actually necessary to change the IP if you aren't doing any crimes. I download torrents from my own IP.

System Preferences %26gt; Network %26gt; Proxies.
You have to select an interface if your computer has more than one.
