Downloading Torrents via proxy server?

If i was downloading torrents through a proxy server am i less likely to be caught the if i was doing it direct??Or can they still get you?


(Please no Dudley Doorights telling me i shouldnt be doing it because im not,im just intrested how proxy servers work)

i dont think you have anything to worry about unless ur in america lol. i mean even if you were to download a shite load of stuff ur isp will send you an email sayn so.but then thats only if you download during the day.i get my ports blockt at a certain time during the day,but thats it.during the nite i get max download etc.just download after midnite to the afternoon.thats wot i do.
Reply:Unless your downloading ridiculous amounts of material then you have nothing to worry about. The truth is, everyone is downloading and although the government and regulatory bodies attempt to scare us with these threats of suing us and watching our every moves - its all b*ll*cks.





Download Utorrent to your PC, use mininova as a torrent site and build up that Will Smith collection of yours till your happy youve got the lot.

Reply:the way in the future people will be caught is by the amount of downloading and uploading you do and the isp will be made by law to report people who are doing it the government will set a bar on how high they think is suspicious and make isps report any that break that bar
