AOL Proxy Server???

I currently have America Online 9 installed on my pc. According to the advanced settings for AOL 9, there is a proxy server that it uses. (I'm guessing for it's topspeed service). I want to know if there is a way to make the proxy server work in other browsers like Internet explorer 5/6/7, netscape 6/7/8, firefox 1.5/2.0, opera 9, avant 10/11?

(note: the proxy listed is AmericaOnline.aol.com; port 5190...

I put that info into the web browser's proxy setting for http but it doesn't work...; I keep getting time out errors)

AOL Proxy Server???
Actually, I'd like to know the answer to this question as well!
